Toys For Pets' mission is to raise funds for toys, food, treats, and grooming supplies for the homeless pets in pounds and shelters through out America. Toys For Pets tries to better the quality of life of the animals while they wait for a forever home.

A Word from the Founder...

Thank you for visiting the Toys for Pets non-profit organizations web site. I hope you find this website informative and it answers all of the questions you have about Toys for Pets.

I, Chris Janderwski at age 13 began the Toys for Pets organization. I was inspired to start the organization for the love I have for animals. I felt that the animals that have to be in a shelter and locked up all the time need something to entertain them. So that was where I put my idea into action in 2003.

To date Toys for Pets has provided toys, food, treats, and grooming supplies to the lives of over 3,000 homeless pets through the state of Michigan. Toys for Pets has been featured on the front page of Newspapers through out Michigan as well as some local news stations.

If you are currently looking to adopt a pet from an animal shelter please make sure you are ready. Pets are a lot of work and require a lot of attention. Most importantly do not be fooled by shelter myths. A pet is not in the shelter because it was a bad pet, Although the health of all animals cannot be guaranteed, statistics show most homeless pets are in shelters because their families had to move and were not able to take them.
